A tribute to fallen soldiers from Route 66 towns

On this Veterans Day, we thought we’d pay homage to soldiers from Route 66 towns who died in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Route 66 is often described as the “world’s longest small town.” So when one of its own dies, we feel the loss more.

I can attest that small towns are more appreciative of their veterans and fallen soldiers. Since I am a resident of the Route 66 community, here is my attempt at a tribute to Americans who hailed from the Mother Road and made the ultimate sacrifice in our current wars. Please remember them and say a prayer for their families.

  1. Thanks, Ron, for posting this. Regardless of one’s politics, it’s obvious that there’s a need for recognition of the sacrifice that’s been made by the families of these people. God bless those that are grieving and those still in harm’s way.

  2. Freedom Don’t Come Free.

A salute to these brave military personnel as well all the others who have given their lives in these conflicts as well as previous ones.
