Rolling on the route

Someone has posted on YouTube what reputedly is a live-in-concert version of "Route 66" by the Rolling Stones from 1974. This is probably one of the band's many bootleg recordings. It also sounds like Mick Taylor is playing that biting lead guitar, not long before he left the band.

Still running

The Rolla (Mo.) Daily News caught up with Phil Rosenstein, who's running across the country, including Route 66, to help raise money or awareness of the Mario Lemieux Foundation. Rosenstein's online entries can be found here, although it's updated sporadically.

Road report of “Rhythms of the Road”

The Joplin (Mo.) Independent filed this report of Green HD Productions' taping of "Rhythms of the Road" at the Coleman Theater in nearby Miami, Okla. It's part of a 13-part music television series; the producers have long been associated with the RFD-TV cable channel.
