Roadie will be on nationally syndicated radio show next week

Frank Gifford, proprietor of rt66pix.com and a Route 66 enthusiast, will appear on the nationally syndicated “The Jim Bohannon Show” and its companion “America in the Morning” radio shows starting the night of April 5.

“The Jim Bohannon Show” is heard on more than 500 radio stations, mostly in the talk format. “America in the Morning” is a summarized version of the show.

Gifford said his interview was about 13 minutes, and it will be condensed into a five-minute version for the “Morning” show. “The Jim Bohannon Show” airs from 10 p.m. to 1 p.m. Eastern.

Gifford said in an email:

We’ll talk about many things: the Blue Whale and the Blue Swallow, the bright lights of Pops and the ghost town of Glenrio … and all the wonderful small-town neon.  It’s all aimed at attracting new travelers to the Mother Road.

Bohannon’s website features a handy station finder if you want to listen in your area. If you miss it, Bohannon posts archives of the show on the website as well.

Bohannon, incidentally, grew up just yards from the Mother Road, in Lebanon, Mo.
