  1. My wife and I just stayed at the el Trovatore in Kingman during the 25th running of the Route 66 Fun Run, May 5 and 6 this year. For years we’ve visted the property while passing through just because it was such a compelling place, with interesting architecture and lay-out.
As a functioning, historic motel the el Trovatore is a gem. Yes, the rooms may not be very large, and very 1930’s 1940’s in style, but for anyone who likes the Blue Swallow- they’ll like the el Tovatore. The neon is an added bonus, as is the breakfast provided at the Hot Rod Cafe. Gve this place a try!
