Here’s a new video with a 1946 version of Bobby Troup’s “Route 66” by Bing Crosby and The Andrews Sisters. It also includes Vic Schoen & His Orchestra.
The clip contains a lot of vintage footage, including from the “Route 66” television program of the early 1960s.
Loved it! Was watching an oldie yesterday called Three Daring Daughters with Jeannette MacDonald, Jose Iturbi’ and Jane Powell. There was a snappy little song in there called Get Your Kicks on Route 66 sang to the beat of the Boogie-Woogie by Jane Powell and 2 others who were playing her sisters. Very nice!
