The intriguing part of the neighborhood is Soul City, a design studio housed in a former gas station that soon will open a restaurant, bar and music venue.
A $500,000 demolition has begun on a nearby building in the 1500 block of East 11th Street. The report didn’t elaborate on what the location will be used for, except for bringing in new tenants.
