Mr. C’s Route Post, a Route 66 souvenir shop in Lebanon, Missouri, has been put up for sale after the death several months ago of owner Scott Cameron.

Shelly Stallings of ReMax is the agent, and the property is listed for $299,000. Part of the description:

The main building is 50’X94′ for total of 4700 sq. feet. This building has 2600 sq. ft. of finished office & retail area. It features 4 private offices, 2 half baths, kitchen area, covered entry porch and open sales area! The remaining area is open warehouse and two large overhead doors. The 2nd building is 40′ by 54′ with a 6′ by 10′ storage area, totaling 2220 sq feet. This building has 2 overhead doors, partially finished office & 1/2 bath.

Stallings said in an email the sale can be arranged so the building’s inventory is included, as well, for anyone who wants to keep it as a souvenir shop. The shop closed not long after Cameron’s death.

Cameron died in February at age 76. In addition to history on Route 66 and his ownership of the Route 66 Sodas, he served as a manager to blues legend Muddy Waters and helped get royalty payments for other blues musicians.
