More 1993 videos of a Route 66 trip

Whitehall Mercantile, Halltown, Mo

Anthony Reichardt of Santa Ana, California, has uploaded four more videos from 1993, when he and a friend drove a 1959 Cadillac down old Route 66.

The first is Thelma White, longtime proprietor of Whitehall Mercantile in Halltown, Missouri. She also was a co-founder of the Route 66 Association of Missouri. She died in 2010, but the store lives on.

Next is Russell Rippelmeyer of 4M Vineyards in St. James, Missouri.

Next is the now-gone Sunrise Motel of Sullivan, Missouri. Reichardt talked to longtime owner Chita Romay. The motel was razed in 2007.

Finally, here’s a talk with Carol Holloway of Cripple Creek Antiques in Kellyville, Oklahoma. The store is closed, but Holloway, now retired, still lives in Kellyville.
