Route 66 Association of Illinois launches redesigned website

The Route 66 Association of Illinois recently launched a redesigned version of its internet site.

According to an email from the association this week, the website contains:

  • Easier navigation to site content
  • Emphasis on the association’s mission and how to be a part of it
  • Mobile device-friendly display
  • Enhanced destination pages

Surfing around the site, I also noticed it contains Google Translate options for non-English readers, audio clips, an online store and a membership renewal page.

The website is powered by WordPress, which also powers Route 66 News. (Disclosure: I am a member of the association.)

The association also is asking for photos or information about any Route 66 destinations and Route 66 events in Illinois to augment the site. Such material should be emailed to Gina at gina(at)writeytidy(dot)com.
