Rt 66 Bowl in Chandler holds grand opening

The long-awaited Rt 66 Bowl entertainment center — which reused a neon sign from the now-gone 66 Bowl from nearby Oklahoma City — recently held its grand opening a few days ago in Chandler, Oklahoma.

The complex at 920 E. First St. (aka Route 66) had been under construction for years. It contains a pizza restaurant, 16 lanes of bowling, miniature golf, arcade, pool tables, bar, laser tag, a special 101-foot-long bowling lane and tons of old signs and gas station memorabilia both inside and in the parking lot.

Here are images from folks who’ve visited it the past few days:

And less than a month ago, one fellow uploaded a video showing the inside:

It remains me of the late, great Bob’s Gasoline Alley in Cuba, Missouri. Bob’s collection recently was sold off after he died last year.

Hours for the restaurant are from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday. The bowling alley is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday.

Rt 66 Bowl has its own website, but much of the act is at its Facebook page.
