… or one that I haven’t heard about, anyway. The Daily Oklahoman reports that John Hargrove of Luther, Okla., has converted his property into a tribute to Route 66, complete with a replica of Herbie the Love Bug.
There’s also a spoof of the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo, a gas station, and a meeting room that resembles an old-fashioned diner. He’s also working on creating a museum of Route 66 memorabilia. Regrettably, there are no pictures on the Web site. I’ll try to get down there soon to check it out Hargrove’s creation.
I’ve got tons of Great photos of John Hargrove’s place – here on my flickr set from a big Route 66 trip I just finished with 20 VW Beetles.
