KOLR-TV in Springfield, Mo., has a story about Gary Turner’s re-creation of the Gay Parita gas station on old Route 66 west of Springfield in a settlement called Paris Springs.

Gary Turner says a representative from Sinclair will visit the site early next month for a look around. Turner hopes the company might consider naming his gas station as a Sinclair museum.
That’d be great if it happens.
Has anyone here had any contact with the current Sinclair corp? I wonder how much historical data they retain about the original company from that era, if they have a historical group, and how open to requests for information they might be….
