Berdoo Bikes event appears to be a hit

I darned near forgot of another prominent festival on Route 66 this weekend -- the Berdoo Bikes & Blues Rendezvous in San Bernardino, Calif. The Press-Enterprise has some coverage. Thousands of people attended the event, which is an offshoot of the Route 66 Rendezvous in the fall.

Historic gas station placed on National Register

The National Park Service announced this week that the old Sprague's Super Service gas station, at 305 Pine St. in Normal, Ill., was named to the National Register of Historic Places, effective April 25.
