
A new exhibit, titled “Through The Windshield, Missouri’s Route 66.” recently opened in Columbia, Missouri, with more locations along Route 66 set for later this year.
The exhibit covers Route 66’s entirety in Missouri, from St. Louis County to Jasper County.
It will feature rarely seen images, advertisements, postcards and other historical documents.
Visitors will also be able to see and hear interviews with people who lived and worked along Route 66.
The exhibition primarily will be at the Center for Missouri Studies at 605 Elm St. in Columbia through Nov. 28.
Additional locations for the exhibit this year:
- June – Lebanon-Laclede County Library and Route 66 Museum in Lebanon
- July – Conway West Official Missouri Welcome Center in Conway
- August – Springfield Research Center during the Birthplace of Route 66 Festival
- October – State Historical Society of Missouri, Rolla Research Center
