Alan Jackson is a Georgia boy, so I have doubts whether he’s driven Route 66. However, his hit song “Little Man” tells what happened to small-town America and small businesses on the Mother Road and elsewhere in the wake of interstate bypasses and big-box corporations.
Ron, why would you think because Alan Jackson is from Georgia he hasn’t driven Route 66? My husband and I have driven the Mother Road from end to end and want to go back and to it again! Whether Alan has or not, we Georgians love Route 66 and will continue to support the people of the Mother Road! Thanks for having Alan’s Little Man on, it’s a great song and Alan does lots of songs that refer to everyday life.
