The owners of the recently refurbished Skyliner Motel in Stroud, Oklahoma, have put the Route 66 property on the market.
The asking price is $775,000, the owners stated in a text to Route 66 News from Facebook Messenger. The motel will stay operational while it’s for sale.
Co-owners Cody and Terra Paige announced via Facebook on Monday:
“Our goal is to find the Skyliner its perfect owner, someone who can put their heart & soul into it,” the Paiges stated. “We know there is someone out there who will see what we see in this little piece of Route 66 history and who will continue to love it and care for it.”
The 10-room Skyliner reopened in January after extensive renovations, including to its iconic neon sign.
According to Route 66 Times, the Skyliner Motel opened in 1950 at the corner of Main Street (aka Route 66) and Highway 99 / U.S. 377.
