Boots Motel reopens for overnight travelers on Tuesday

The Boots Motel of Carthage, Mo., a Route 66 landmark once endangered by redevelopment, at last will reopen for overnight stays starting Tuesday, reported the Joplin Globe. Newberry Springs will receive a historical marker

Experimental motorcycle tested on Route 66

XCOR Aerospace recently field-tested an experimental motorcycle on Route 66 in the Southwest, according to a news release from the company.
