Joel Baker has posted the second episode of “American Giants,” an exploration of Muffler Men found across the country.
This episode deals with the history of the company that built the fiberglass figures, and the Lauterbach Tire Muffler Man on Route 66 in Springfield, Ill.
I have now seen both episodes and really like them. It has renewed my interest in including the 3 muffler men photos I took in my photo montage of our 66 trip in April. I I hope there are more episodes planned. Thanks Ron for your great blog. It continues to remind me of our great adventure.
American Giants Episode #3 has been released and it covers our trip to Atlanta, IL on old route 66 and the Bunyon’s giant that now lives there.
