The Route 66 town of Lincoln, Ill., will be hosting not one, but two Mother Road-related events this week, according to the Bloomington Pantagraph.
First, the Veterans Motor Car Club of America will meet at Guzzardo's restaurant for lunch on Wednesday as part of its tour. There will be about 60 cars that date from 1949 and earlier.
Second, the Illinois Route 66 Association will be holding its annual Hall of Fame banquet and motor tour on the weekend, with Lincoln as an overnight stop Saturday.
