15th neon sign built or restored along Tulsa’s Route 66 corridor

The Mother Road Market and Shops at Mother Road Market on Wednesday unveiled their new neon sign on the roof of one of their buildings at Lewis Avenue and 11th Street (aka Route 66) in Tulsa.

It was the 15th sign that was newly built or restored on Tulsa’s Route 66 with the city’s Route 66 neon-sign grant program.

Here are images from the Tulsa Route 66 Commission of the newest sign being installed and the sign at night:

On a related note, Mother Road Market launched a Route 66 Medallion Hunt through December. From its website:

The Route 66 Medallion Hunt is a fun, family-friendly challenge to find one of 8 total hidden medallions for a chance to win cool prizes from Mother Road Market!
Each month two medallions will be hidden. One in Tulsa, OK and another on Route 66. In November, we will hide four medallions in celebration of Mother Road Market’s birthday! Clues will be published on Thursdays in the newsletter until that month’s medallions are found.

A total of eight medallions will be hidden. Prizes include a $100 gift card from the Shops @ Mother Road Market, private shopping experience and dinner for two at Mother Road Market.

Clues and other instructions are here.
