Crossroads Cookery restaurant opens in Sapulpa with an eye-catching neon sign

The Crossroads Cookery restaurant recently opened in downtown Sapulpa, Oklahoma, along with a sign that a local news outlet says is the first new neon signage in that part of town in decades.

According to a Facebook post by Joni Rogers, the elaborate neon sign at the restaurant at 117 E. Dewey Ave. (aka Route 66) was installed earlier this month:

The Sapulpa Times reports Crossroads Cookery held six soft openings before its grand opening in mid-October to huge crowds.

The report stated it offers “an appealing menu of food you won’t find anywhere else in Sapulpa, and the surprising combination of services, with home-roasted coffee, dinner and cocktails, and an almost-old-fashioned ice cream parlor.”

It also reported the restaurant was an event center and a furniture store before being bought by the Kante Group several years ago.

The Kante Group also bought and is restoring the TeePee Drive-In theatre on the city’s west side, slated to reopen sometime in spring 2023.

Sapulpa is becoming a hopping place this fall between this, the forthcoming TeePee and the soon-to-open Route 66 Christmas Chute.
