A new Route 66-inspired store and visitor center opened in Holbrook, Arizona, on Friday.
The Petrified Forest Museum Association, a partner of the nearby Petrified Forest National Park, opened its new office, warehouse and educational outlet called The Bend on 66 at 222 Navajo Blvd. (aka Route 66), reported the Havasu News (subscription required).
The downtown store offers books, maps and collectibles focused on Arizona’s national parks and monuments.
Organizers told the newspaper that the location captures the retro aesthetic of old Route 66 while serving as a resource for travelers exploring the region’s history.
According the Navajo County property records, the store is located in a 1924 building.
The Bend on 66 is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
