Touch Media announced the launch of the Centennial Route 66 Passport, a special edition to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Mother Road as an Official Route 66 Centennial Project.
Building on the success of the blue Route 66 Passport, the golden centennial edition is a luxury collector’s item with a limited print run, designed to celebrate the history, culture and communities along Route 66.
The Centennial Passport will feature artistic illustrations, historic articles and detailed documentation of each partner’s contribution to preserving the road.
In addition to serving as a collector’s item, it will act as a pocket guide to official centennial celebrations, encouraging travelers to experience Route 66 while supporting local communities and events.
The regular blue Route 66 Passport will continue to direct travelers to participating locations for stamps, while the golden centennial edition elevates the experience with a premium, commemorative format.
“The Centennial Route 66 Passport is more than just a keepsake—it’s a celebration of the road and the people who live, work, and travel along it,” said Bill Thomas, chairman of the Road Ahead Partnership and commissioner for the Route 66 Centennial Commission.
“This edition allows travelers to experience the rich history of Route 66 while helping preserve its legacy for generations to come.”
The Centennial Route 66 Passport will be released in April, offering travelers and collectors alike a way to commemorate the historic highway.
