New alternate jersey for Tulsa Drillers baseball team includes a Route 66 patch

The Tulsa Drillers minor-league baseball team, a Double-A affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers, will play select games in an alternate uniform that includes a Route 66 patch.

According to SportsLogos.net:

The team’s “Tulsa Connect” uniforms celebrate Oklahoma’s oil industry with a cap logo that features an oil derrick, as well as Route 66, which runs for 28 miles through the city and is marking its 100th anniversary in 2026.

A dark blue jersey features the script “Tulsa” across the chest, set in a typeface meant to emulate the neon signs found along Route 66.

A sleeve patch features a red and blue representation of a Route 66 sign accompanied by the legend “Celebrating 100 Years.”

If you’d like one of your own, the Drillers are selling the jersey through their online shop for $90 for all sizes.

ONEOK Field, the Drillers’ home ballpark, sits just a few blocks from the Route 66 alignment that winds through Tulsa’s downtown.

The Drillers have been Tulsa’s baseball team since 1977, though professional baseball in that city dates back to 1905.
