The owner of Gearhead Curios in Galena, Kansas, has put the property on the market for $450,000.
Owner Aaron Perry stated on Facebook Messenger that the price includes Gearhead Curios’ inventory, collectibles, the Muffler Man created in his likeness and 10 vacant lots in Galena where he once planned his Petrol Motor Quart motel.
Perry first announced putting the property at 520 S. Main St. (aka Route 66) on the market in late August, but I missed it. Apparently the social-media algorithms failed me.
He stated in the initial Facebook post that “I feel that I have reached that ‘fork in the road’ where I must close a chapter to start the next one. To do this I must find that special person that will take Gearhead Curios into its next chapter.”

Gearhead Curios will continue to operate in the meantime, with hours from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
