Tin Can Alley on 66 lodging option in Kingman opens to the public

Tin Can Alley on 66, a lodging option of restored vintage Airstream trailers in Kingman, Arizona, opened to the public a few days ago.

Airbnb offers overnight stays in trailers named after towns on Route 66: The Seligman, The Hackberry and The Oatman. Prices start at $199 a night.

The complex includes a commons area with lounge chairs, a gas fireplace, a shaded canopy and cornhole boards.

Route 66 enthusiast Mike May, who stayed in one of the trailers during a sneak preview, reports that four more trailers eventually will be installed on the site at 211 E. Andy Devine Ave. (aka Route 66). When finished, it will offer eight trailers for overnight stays.

Tin Can Alley is within walking distance of several restaurants and retail shops, and the Route 66 museum is across the street.
