On Sunday, the “CBS Sunday Morning” program produced a 6 1/2-minute feature about Route 66 during its centennial year.
The segment includes archived footage from CBS, including Charles Kuralt at Cadillac Ranch during the 1970s, Blue Swallow Motel owner Lillian Redman in 1993 and Angel Delgadillo in 1989.
It has new footage, too, of “Route 66: The Mother Road” author Michael Wallis, Tulsa Route 66 entrepreneur Mary Beth Babcock and current Blue Swallow owners Rob and Dawn Federico.
