New Muffler Man named Cowboy Bob added to Buck’s Vintage on 66 in Tulsa

Tulsa’s Route 66 corridor boasts yet another Muffler Man — this time, it’s Cowboy Bob, erected on Wednesday in front of Buck’s Vintage on 66.

A celebration of the arrival of the 21-foot-tall fiberglass giant was set for Thursday, but owner Mary Beth Babcock touted its installation the day before.

Babcock’s first Muffler Man, named Buck Atom, was installed in 2019 at her Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios on 66.

She gave Buck a girlfriend, Stella Atom, and installed her in June 2024.

Babcock added a Meadow Gold Mack statue in front of the Meadow Gold Mack’s Route 66 Outpost last summer.

And according to News on 6 in Tulsa, another fiberglass giant will arrive in the Meadow Gold District in the fall with Rosie the Riveter.

The original Rosie the Riveter was a Tulsa woman who inspired the famous campaign during World War II.

  1. Dang, that’s a really beautiful Muffler Man! It’s nice to see Muffler Men doing something different with their hands.
