Don’t worry … we’re still alive.
Entries to Route 66 News will be spotty for the next week or so because of the historic ice storm that has crippled half of Oklahoma. At one point more than 600,000 customers were without electricity, and more than 75 homes caught fire on Monday alone because of all the electrical problems. Power outages are expected to last seven to 10 days.
You can go here and here for news about the ice storm in the Sooner State.
But we have a wood stove for heat, a gas water heater for showers and a nearby library with wi-fi. So we’re doing better than most.
Thank God. I thought there has to be something going on with The Mother Road, even though it’s December. With us here in Georgia, we are in a drought and the rest of the US is either flooding or having horrific ice storms. Take care, keep Route 66 News coming and stick close to the wood stove!
I’m looking for Donna Cloud, married with Kim Cloud. Is that you?
