Buck’s Cosmic Crash Pad in Tulsa will be converted to Buck’s Vintage Shop next month

Buck’s Cosmic Crash Pad, an Airbnb site for three years in Tulsa directly behind Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios on 66, will be converted to Buck’s Vintage Shop in June.

Buck’s owner Mary Beth Babcock made the announcement in a social media post on Tuesday:

In a discussion thread, Babcock said the new venture would offer a mix of vintage items — including Route 66.

“Cowboy is leading the way,” she wrote.

Babcock said prospective customers can watch for developments regarding the new vintage shop through its Instagram site.

Buck’s Cosmic Crash Pad was housed in a three-bedroom house built in 1917.

The Buck Atom’s Cosmic Curios on 66 souvenir shop, housed in a former gas station along Route 66, quickly became a destination for Mother Road travelers. It includes elaborate neon signs and a nearly 20-foot-tall Buck Atom fiberglass statue next to the building.

Buck Atom’s recently marked its fifth anniversary.
