Rhys Martin, president of the Oklahoma Route 66 Association, in the comment thread, narrowed down the film’s date to 1964, based on the film “Of Human Bondage” advertised in a marquee at The Orpheum Theatre in Tulsa.

i just learned my friend’s grand-daughter was one of the drivers. the navigators were also women.
