Carthage courthouse may add Route 66 museum

The Carthage (Mo.) Press reports that Jasper County commissioners are considering adding a Route 66 museum in the south wing of the historic county courthouse. The story is here.

Asuza Pacific University and R&R Signs of Glendora, Calif., are working together to restore the landmark marquee of Azusa Foothill Drive-In on Route 66 in Asuza, according to the San Gabriel Valley Tribune. Grant will help restore Aztec Hotel

The San Gabriel (Calif.) Tribune reports that the historic Aztec Hotel on Route 66 in Monrovia is undergoing a restoration -- with $50,000 coming from a grant from the Route 66 Corridor Preservation Program.
